Texture The Jet Fighter in 3ds Max Part 1

In this video tutorial there is jet fighter model before you. We are using 3ds max and going to texture the model of air craft. For this purpose we need material editor to assign texture our model. Press “M” to get material editor by short cut key.

The material editor contains many empty slots to assign texture the specific body or object. Although we had generated the jet fighter model before, therefore we shall deselect the material first in material editor.

After this we have simple jet fighter model without any texture. Now we are going to repeat the process for the learning purpose of the user. At first go to the modifier panel and choose Unwrap UVW.

Unwrap UVW

Now click on plus icon of selected modifier and it will be opened in drop down list. Select the faces of the model, the remaining setting will be opened under the modifier option. Once you have selected the jet model, click on edit. It will open in mini dialog box with texture as base. You can edit the model here completely;

you can separate the body of model from structure. You can edit the model one by one after selecting that part of the model. So in this part you have created the mapping for all part of jet model. For more stay here and watch next tutorial to learn more.
