Modeling of 3d Helmet in 3ds Max Part 2

3ds max has variety of applications and graphics in itself.

Today it is frequently using in the graphic designing and Visual effect in the 3d movies and commercial. In this tutorial as you know it is second part of the 3d helmet.  At this stage though we have prepared structure of 3d helmet but here we shall discuss how the horn of the helmet is transformed and extruded.

Here we select a region for the horn. So we go to selection tab. A number of option will open, click on “By half’ to Y-Axis. This will help us to make a hole on both sides toward Y-Axis.  Next click on invert axis. First of all view the helmet on all around. It is simply ready but we want to make a horn. Extrude the selected polygon outward as much we need. This is the extrusion by a pawn. Now we select the vertices and draw a line from the creating panel to give the vertices horn shape. Now move the line toward the horn vertices. This will help us to extrude the vertices along spline.

In this mini window put the value for extrusion and hit enter. Go to prospective view port and view the result. This shows that we have created 3d helmet by symmetry tools and duplicating them. The following video will guide you much better, so watch the video below.
