Modeling of 3d Helmet in 3ds Max Part 1

In 3ds Max we can create many material object with its graphics and application.

We can either create a chair, table, room or anything else. We can create all that material by using material editor. And at initially stage we need basic primitive to give them the required shape.

The tutorial hereby, we are going to discuss is the modeling of 3d helmet in 3ds Max. The entire primitive are for specific uses. As we can see for any round shape object we take a sphere or polygon. But in modeling of helmet avoid taking a sphere or polygon at initial stage because it will create problem later on. So open 3D Max and go to creating panel and select “Box”. Apply select and scale tool on it to make it larger. The next step is to adjust the pivot of the box. Go to “Hierarchy” and select “Pivot”. This is use to roll out the edge and vertices of the object. Now adjust the length, width and height segment with the same value. Go to modifier panel and select the “Spherify”. Although the object is now in a spherical shape but still it requires its geometrical composition. The Next is to adjust its vertices, so right click on the object and then editable poly.

This will make the vertices smooth. As we know that the helmet is in a shape of half circle. Therefore select the lower region of the sphere and simply click on delete. So it was the quick introduction of the 3d Helmet in 3d Max part 1. For further detail watch the video below.
