Dynamic Light for a 3D Scene with 3ds Max

In this tutorial you will learn how to add dynamic lights effect to the 3d scene while you are modeling any object and want to light to focus on the object. The object is being illuminated with lights to give it real 3d look. You can use different method for applying light over the object like Flat shading, Gouraud shading, Phong shading and Light map shading.

Group of Polygon

In flat shading you can apply only one color to any one polygon or the whole group of polygon. This kind of shading is suitable for the computerized look. The Gouraud shading is an advanced technique of lighting, although it is also with only one color for vertices but you can shade the whole polygons smoothly. But through this kind of shading, it is impossible to shade the interior part of any polygon. Phong shading is especially for the shading used in the middle of any polygon. If you apply it in the polygon, it makes the surfaces more smooth and realistic. The light map shading is most appropriate among all of them. This color shading makes the project worthy and eye-catching.

Although they have low resolution, therefore they cover every polygon and edges of the object. In 3ds max the light assigning affects are so simple. You just create the light affect according to your project and then assign it to the material. The 3d studio rendering show your affect result very clearly and realistic. If you have still any problem to understand the concept, then the given video will help you much better.
