Create Wooden Crate In 3ds Max Part 1

In this video tutorial, you will learn about how to create wooden crate modeling in 3d studio max. We are creating this modeling with polygonal primitives. This tutorial is describing useful information for Maya beginners. Because of lengthy process, the tutorial is divided into two parts. In this first part, we shall only read about the characteristics of polygonal objects and it uses. The final modeling will be created in next part.

Basic Commands

In this lesson we shall read about some basic commands which are needed to use to complete this tutorial. If you go to title bar, you see the version of your Maya program. The menu bar is located under the title bar which provides you every main menu function for the stability of your project. These icons work in same way to click on them and use command in the drop down list of each menu. The main toolbar is placed under the main menu bar and it helps you to get quick access to every object with in no time. We use these icons for the modification of our object. There are multiple main menus on the right side of the workspace. The view-port is divided into two sections, prospective and orthographic.

The prospective view-port is used for all 3 dimensions whereas the rest of view-port called orthographic which show you side, top and front view-port of your model. Just take a model and take a review in four view-ports. The regular modeling of wooden crate will be created in next part.
