Scissors In 3ds Max

Here we are with another useful tutorial of scissor modeling. We are going to model it with still image method. The reference image is already here in our drive and we shall use them for creating modeling in real time.

It is scanned image of real scissors and it is now opened in Adobe Photoshop for creating basic drawing of that scissors. Next we shall create modeling and rendering to get the final result. Open the scanned scissor image in 3d studio max and start your work. Select the scissor from handle and started cutting model here.

Chamfer Commands

Press 5 to shade the cut part and than apply chamfer commands to make it pretty much better. Similarly check the edges condition and adjust them like a smooth shape. The next step is to apply mesh smooth modifier to give your model smooth shape. This will fulfill the hole for catching and you can fix this problem by checking the keep face box. This will create a hole like a real scissor.

Select the polygon and then face and extrude it outside to make one handle striker. Handles have been created successfully now it is left to create cutting parts. Create these cutting parts and then apply material to the selected parts. The scissor model is ready rendering it to get the actual affect.
