Modeling a Lemon in 3ds Max Part 1

It is quite easy technique to perform modeling of lemon with 3d s max tools and commands. The concept is split into two parts and right you are in first part. In this part we shall work just for sculpt of lemon model and the lemon reference image can be downloaded from any web browser. The sculpting and Prism are plugged in 3d s max, here in this part we shall work and model the lemon from reference image. Then generate its basic sculpting shape, use sphere for making of lemon model.

Now we start our tutorial with out more discussion and go to web browser and download lemon image from Google image. Open up your 3d s max and go to basic primitives and choose plane as a base. Active your front viewport and stretch the selected plane there. Highlight the plane, go to material editor and then in scroll down and choose map browser.

There is variety of maps there in material editor; it is up to you which you find better for your scene. So use common sense and check the box of diffuse map. It will open up with multi-optional maps setting, choose bitmap and then browse image of lemon from your drives. The image will be assigned to the empty slot in material editor, adjust its color setting and then drag it onto plane. Go to basic primitives and in drop down list and choose prim Composer, here it provides you sphere for actual lemon model. Now it is just traditional method of lemon modeling matching with sphere and adjusts the vertices setting for face of lemon.
