Ceating Material for Tornado Part 1

This tutorial of 3D max is here for the average users to learn modeling.

Here modeling of Tornado is discussing with detail using 3D max tools. Tornado is created to forcing particle to follow the path. We take start from top view port and take Helix. Then change the parameter from modifier panel.

After modifying parameter go to prospective view. Select the helix and click on select and rotate tool then apply angle snap toggle to rotate it in circular motion at 180 degree. Move the helix with move tool to upward position. Now you want to add snow particles to your scene, go to create panel and then in drop down list choose particle system and then choose snow. The next step is to adjust its parameter in modifier panel. Select the particle snow and rotate it at 90 degrees. Now create a path to follow space warp. Click path follow from object type panel. Scroll down and there will be some motion timing parameter. Set the frames for motion from starting point to ending point. Go back to front view port and select the snow. There is Bind to space warp placing at top menu. Now just hold and drag your cursor to path follow object.

To check animation click on play button. Tornado requires 100 frames to hit the ground and so again modify its setting from modifier panel. Choose wave and modify its parameter. Click on plus sign and in drop down list choose Gizmo. Rotate the Gizmo at 90 degree view the result in prospective view. We have created Tornado with particles; in next part you will learn how to create material for Tornado.
