Bind Objects in 3ds Max

It is very easy for the beginner to create any thing separately using 3ds max

But they fail to bind or join them in one combined object shape. This tutorial is particularly representing the same matter. This tutorial will be guiding path in their learning how to bind the objects. Open the 3ds max and the simple grid will be open before you.

There are basic primitives on the right hand side of the workspace. Choose any object say, cylinder and drag it on the grid. This is selected by mouse click so there may be inaccuracy in these object properties. So first of all set the object parameter from modifier panel. Make a duplicate copy of that cylinder and keep it in this way that one cylindrical shape is below the grid while the other one is above the grid. It is necessary for our project because we are going to create juice straw. After this go to creating panel again and then extended primitives and choose Hose. Now we are required to bind the hose to these pipes. Go to hose parameter and check bound to object pivot. The necessary thing that I forgot to discuss here is the object should select at that time. You will see the hose will bind with pipe like a spring shape.

Modify the tension of hose from top and bottom side. The last step is to decrease the diameter of the hose to look pretty much better and realistic. Use transforming tool to move it to and fro. This was the simple binding concept through pipes and hose to make a juice straw.
