3ds Max Landscape Displacement Modifier

Here you will learn about how to create landscape scene with displace modifier. Let’s start our lesson with out wasting our time. Go to create panel and choose plane from there. Now assign material to the given plane, for this purpose press “M” to bring material editor withial  short cut key.

The material editor will be appeared with in second in new window. Select any one empty slot and adjust its diffuse color setting by modifying its parameters. After this go to modifier panel and choose material editor as displace.

The new selected modifier will be linked with given plane and now take test rendering of the scene. The displace modifier is still left some setting according to the plane, therefore again come back to the material editor setting and modify the parameter setting more. Now this time choose another modifier as Turbosmooth and change its parameters.

Rendering Scene

Take another test rendering of scene and this time you will see the different output then previous one. This time the rendering scene is showing more burl on the surface of the plane. The scene is yet with default color setting as well as speculiar level of the object. Decide for your desired color and background for it. Apply all the effects and modifiers to the scene and finally you will get wonderful plain modeling scene after passing from rendering process.
