Two capacitors of capacitance are connected in parallel. What would be the equivalent capacity? If a 20V battery is connected across the combination, (fig. 15.18) find out
- The voltage across the two capacitors.
- The quantity of charge on each capacitor.

Solution:
If Ce is the equivalent capacitance of this parallel combination, then
- As the two capacitors are connected in parallel, the voltage drop across each capacitor would be the same, equal to voltage of the battery i.e, 20 volts.
