Selecting Objects in 3ds Max

3ds Max is quite easier to understand as compare to other software Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop Cs etc. Although it is very complex in having button and tabs but they are simple and easy also.

When we open 3Ds max, we see four views on the screen. The main view is called prospective view and rest of them is called Orthographic. Prospective deals with the overall view while orthographic are considered much better for the Object manipulation. There is top menu bar on the right top side of the window. The Icon bar is placed under the main menu bar. Some other Panel is also available on the right hand side of the screen. Most of them are used for modifying the object.

Modifying the Object

At bottom, Buttons for rotating, translating, and scaling the object. We can undo the project by clicking Undo there on the icon bar. We can find it in Edit menu or by pressing Key Ctrl+Z from the keyboard. Now the Next step is to select the object. Go to creating panel and there is many basic primitive available for any kind of animation. Just click on any one them drag it and release it on the screen. After this you can modify its parameter from modifier panel.
