Bone Rigging a Face in 3Ds Max

The bone rigging mostly helps in modeling purpose. The modeling is basically designed due to skeleton and the skeleton is the combination of bone rigging. Every kind of modeling requires basic skeleton for required shape.

In skeleton animation, the bone rigging is used frequently. The skeleton animation serves the whole modeling to move with its body and skeletal system using specific key frames ranges. In the following video tutorial we are going to work on facial setting in 3ds max. Although it has complexity in itself therefore it requires enough time to handle the condition. When the mouth opens or closes, the bones squeeze and stretches at this time. You see all the bones are flexible and can move to and fro. We do the same process once again, take a new model and then go to create panel>system>bones. Through this process you can create joints between the face components. Take a start from lower jaw area and creates the joints for them. Similarly repeat the process again for upper jaw and connect it with the lower jaw.

Create all the other joint for nose, ear and for eyes joints and using bone tool adjust them properly. Once you connect the bones use mirror to copy it on other side. In this way you will create the whole bone system for your facial. For more watch the following video.
