Basic Primitive of 3D Studio MAX

Basic Primitive – 3D studio max is most suitable for animation, rendering and modeling. The animation used in video game and TV commercial are mostly animating and designing in 3D studio max. It is also preferred for video effect and visualization purpose. In the earlier this was published by Autodesk with name 3D Studio MAX. Later on many changes were brought into it and hence in 2009 it was again published and it was renamed as Autodesk 3ds Max. The list of basic primitive is given below.

Box, Cylinder, Torus, Teapot, Cone, Sphere, Tube, Pyramid, Plane and Geosphere. All of them have different function and used for different purpose.

First we take Box in prospective view; we can change its length, breadth and width using tools and also reshape them originally from modifier list.

Next is sphere, you can do it smooth. Using cylinder you can move it toward X-axis, Y-axis and Z-axis respectively. Torus is used to make shape as like wheel. Tea pot is absolutely like original tea pot. You can increase or decrease its size also. Now we have a cone, you can shape its head and give them the cone shape toward its head side. There are much difference in Geosphere and sphere. Similarly you can change the parameter of the tube. Drag Pyramid in viewport and drag it toward Z-axis. The required shape will be Pyramid. This was short introduction of the basic Primitive for further detail watch the video.
