3ds Max Pawn Modeling With Splines

This tutorial is about to learn how to model the pawn in 3ds max. You can use much software to change 2d animation into 3d or in AutoCAD. It is considered as a primary stage for the beginners. Now start our task, First of all take a cylinder in a top view whose attribute setting is being set up. Modify the cylinder by right clicking and choose editable poly in the table. Now go in to front view , here you are required to bring the edges to the bottom side or you may bring the vertex to the down position.

From creation panel chose the line option, now start to select the image from up to down. After completing selection, zoom in the image to see if any corner is not to be selected then select it also. Filet will help you to round its vertices according to required shape. It will help you to smooth the image very well.

Modeling and Animation

Smoothness in the modeling and animation are much necessary. After complete selection, go into image modifier and choose Lathe. To watch the changing, go into prospective view.  See the image from   all sides. You will see the pawn is ready. In this we learnt spline creation and editing.
