3d Leg Modeling in 3ds Max

3d  Leg Modeling – The following tutorial is going to learn you about the basic modeling of leg using 3ds max. It is little bit different to create character modeling in 3ds max as compared to Maya.

As you know we use simple basic primitive to create any kind of modeling in Maya but here we take surface tools to form the leg modeling. If you are not aware of surface modeling tools, then this tutorial will guide you. In 3ds max people use it to create new modeling with techniques. Take five circles as a skeleton of leg. Select the whole circles with region selection, now rotate the top and down circle for curve in leg. Using snap toggle rotate the circle as much you need. Do the same with other circle and joined them into one object. Go to modifier panel and connect the entire circle with cross section. In this case, all the new vertices are connected in one exact shape. Now choose another modifier from modifier panel to adjust the vertices.

Use select and move tool, form the leg shape as actual leg from thigh to foot. After this, apply surface tool modifier to shape it like human leg. Using patched apology, make the number of copies of object using mirror tool. It was simple process to create a human leg in 3ds max. Watch the video for detail.
