Steps:
- Now first of all open an image in Photoshop and change the orthographic image’s format to jpeg and then. In Maya open the new scene and then import the save image in Maya.
- Then adjust the orthographic image of a puppy in the work space second and third quadrant.
- Then press the space bar and go to side view port.
- Create a polygon cube and then scale it according to the size of the mid point of the puppy abdomen. Then using extrude tool extrude it to left and right side but the extruding faces must not be large give a little extrude and right click in the persp. View select the vertex and then choosing vertices move them to the up and downwards boundary so that vertex may adjust in according to the orthographic image.
- All you have to do in this 3d modeling step is click on extrude tool in the Edit mesh menu and extrude a face little bit according to the orthographic image then right click and select the vertex and then drag select a vertex and using move tool adjust it to the orthographic image but remember that you should select the vertex in side view this modifies the vertices of both sides.
- When you have done basic body modeling then create an edge loop in the middle of the object on lateral side and then select the one half-side and delete.
