This 3d modeling lesson about character rigging of architectural designing is not voice narrated but this tutorial text is going to help you a lot in 3d character rigging, character rigging in 3d world mean texturing and coloring your 3d models. Texturing means type of surface you want smooth or rough, reflective, non reflective or glassy etc. so on. Here you will learn about some basic texturing tools, Blinn which provides texture with reflective look, Lambert is non reflective texture and Phong is glassy texture.

    Steps:

  1. We shall poly mesh building model, which has parts of it, select the wall of the building model right click on the wall, select Blinn texture, then attribute editor for Blinn will open up.
  2. In shapes in put there is checker box in front of color option, click on it and rendering nodes will open up select file node.
  3. This one step done now again a folder will appear on color option in the attribute editor click on that for browsing texture of your choice for wall of the building.
  4. When you have selected then hit ‘6’ to see the results.
  5. If you do not have texture downloaded than you can apply simple color by clicking on color itself and selecting color of you choice.
  6. Repeat this for other part of the building and apply different textures as you like.
