Video-Creating Follow Camera

This is 3d rendering and camera setting lesson for 3d modeling and animation learners and you will learn how to assign a camera to 3d animated model in 3d animation modeling and rendering software Autodesk Maya.
Here we have a 3d animation of cartoon rocket, which we animated and modeled in 3d modeling animation software Maya and now you will learn a little bit more about the 3d animation at high class. Maya camera feature enable you to work like a cinematographer and here is the point in you 3d animation where you will move one step forwards from making 3d animation to tracking you 3d animated model in 3d software.     Steps:

  1. Move time slider to first frame.
  2. Go to create menu and create simple camera with reset settings. Press ‘w’ for move tool and move the camera to exact tracking position.
  3. Then select the object and then shift select the camera, change menu set to animation and go to Constrain and set Aim constrain option box. Reset all setting form edit menu there and put value of 0 for x and y and -1 for Aim vector and hit apply or create.
  4. Now in the menus of the view port click on Panels > Perspective >cameraShape1, you will see the 3d animation now with the camera you created. Play your 3d animation to see the results.
