maya Trax Animation tutorialLearn here on this site about 3d modeling and animation using Maya. The animation is controlled under trax editor application. You can get access to trax editor by going window>Animation editor>Trax editor. We use trax editor just to create joint setup for our model. The outliner and hyper graph are also used for similar method. When you want to create skeleton of any model, you use Trax editor and it opens in from of you in mini window. Here you can use it properly for your scene, go to create clip option and select the animation clip. Now choose time line setting for your animation and see whether the skeleton or structure of the model is selected. Just right click with shift button on motion capture button in timeline and click on create clip option. Although you have adjusted the setting at this stage, but still your animation would not play.
Again go back to Trax Editor and then go to file menu and you will find Visor just select it. It will open in new window there choose Character clips. Now again play the animation and it will start playing. Here you can connect two animation clips with blend icon. The blend icon not only connects two different clips but also split, merge, trim, cut, copy and paste the animation in trax editor.
