Human Hand Modeling with Subdivision Part 1

In this tutorial of Maya 3d modeling and animation we are going to learn you about another useful tutorial of modeling. Here we have started human hand modeling with subdivision. The human modeling is very important chapter I Maya modeling. This kind of modeling is mostly created with NURBs modeling because there are many such parts of body which can not be created with polygonal primitives.

The NURBs modeling is therefore assumed as the best option for such modeling and it is just started with CV curve and then it is up to you how to use them for your model. The curve doesn’t have any similarity in drawing; it may be of different kind and shape. The next step for these CV curve is extrusion and bevel command and even sometime you have to revolve it to make round in shape. For the modeling of human hand, we shall start from polygonal cube option and reset its default setting.

As we are working for subdivision, therefore convert it from polygon to subdivision mode. Make the smooth shape of the object and go to front viewport. We can also use still image technique for this task and you can download image from any web browser. The detail video tutorial is linked there in the bottom side of the tutorial so watch it to learn more.
