Wireframes Representation In Maya

Representation Wireframes In MayaThis is very basic tutorial in the series of learning Maya for beginners. It is just the introduction of wireframes mode of any object. When we want to create any model, we use polygonal primitives or NURBS primitives. These primitives are placed on shelf menu or you can find them from create menu also. When we use any primitive, it appears automatically on the centre of the grid which is the origin of plane and all co-ordinates are zero at this stage. These primitives are in wireframe mode at the time of selection. The short keys for selection or de-selection mode are 4 and 5. We can convert this wire frame mode into shaded mode. The basic component level of the object can be evaluated only in this condition if the object is in wire frame mode. In this lesson we shall also read about rendering of wireframe object tone outline.
We can set the geometry of the object by converting this object into editable poly. This will offer you to adjust its vertices, edges and face setting. This will help us to find the detail of the required object. We can set its attribute from attribute editor and it will be changed with respect to attribute setting. Once you have done the setting then take a test render of the object. We can animate the sphere by creating push and pull effects. Take a render again and you will see that the wireframe faded when sphere is animated and bring back after the effects. For more detail, watch this video.
