Learning 3d Modeling and Character Setup in Maya 2011 Part 23

This tutorial is quite similar to the last one and in last tutorial we worked on the lips setting along with polygon and edge loop using. We have nearly created the lips modeling only corner setting left and we are going to reset it now. We shall align the setting of lips here and the lips corner is little bit sharper. So go to main menu setting and set the menu as polygon. We shall reset the setting of lips by stretching and squeezing the polygon. The whole modeling is based on the polygon and edge setting.

To give the lips real look, drag the vertices closer and around the mouth. Choose every vertex and drag it to the closer and farther from mouth as needed. Now right click on the object and see the effect result whether it goes to set now, and you will see there is enough changing in the model now.

The sharpness in the mouth setting is now nearly finished. Now go to prospective view and see that there is something wrong to the upper side of mouth. It is because of mouth setting and we can adjust them by managing the edge loops. Select each vertex and drag them where you think it much better.

You can say that modeling of one object is effected on other and we have to reset them again.
