Video-Modeling 3D Volleyball with Polygon(2)

This is second part of the 3d modeling in 3d modeling animation program Autodesk Maya and in this 3d modeling lesson you will learn how to model volley ball completely in 3d software Maya and you will also learn how to apply texture to the 3d model in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya.
Texturing is also known as 3d character rigging in 3d computer graphics. It has two steps one is selecting material and other is selecting color or texture image for the 3d model surface. There are basically three main material option there are many other options as well but all the related to these materials basically. These three materials are the Lambert, Blinn and Phong. Lambert material texture is used for making 3d model’s surface non-reflective, Blinn texture material makes surface of the 3d mode reflective and the Phong material texture is used for making glass and glassy surfaces. Maya provides tools and commands for editing attributes of these material texturing commands and the most important one is coloring or texturing image options.
Steps:
In the last lesson of the 3d modeling you created basic shape for 3d model of the volleyball but you did not complete the 3d model of the volleyball. So select the combined mesh created in the last part and then in the edit menu click on the option box of the Duplicate special tool. Then increase the number of rotate-y to -90 and number of copies to 3 and then hit duplicate.
Then again apply duplicate special command but this time keep rotate-y as 90 and copies as 1.
Then complete the model of volleyball in this way.
When your model is complete then right click on the object and in the Assign new material option select Lambert for ball.
In the Attribute editor click on the color swatch and change the color to white.
Hit ‘6’ for texture mode of the object in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya.
