Video-Creating a Room with Polygons in Maya

Learn here about how to create room modeling in Maya using polygons modeling. We shall create room modeling with step by step. The room is created with polygonal cube for wall and roof. We start our lesson by taking polygons cube from the shelf menu for the modeling of our room. With Scale tool maximize the cube and select its front faces and hit delete because we have no need of them more in our scene. This cube is assuming as model of room, now unhide the room model for a while and create internal illusion for room. Create another cube and scale it too to make it minimize for the top of our table. Select the edges of the cubic shape and apply bevel command. Go to front view and active it to make legs for table. With CV curve and snap grid option create curve for table legs. Select the curve go to surface menu and choose revolve option. If you move the leg, the history of leg will be there so delete the history. Scale this leg model slightly inward and make duplicate copy at three different places. In this way we have table in the room. Make group of table and room mutually and unhide both of them. Next we needed Polygonal cylinder to form lamp for table. This cylinder is used as stand of lamp, take another cylinder and to make bended lamp and sphere to make it bend. Using basic and simple techniques you will be able to create complete lamp modeling. Again unhide the scene and bring lamp model there and grouped them mutually. Adjust the position of lamp on the table with move tool. After satisfactory adjustment, assign camera permanently for rendering. In next lesson we shall assign light and texture to our scene, so stay here and learn more.
