Video-3d Rocket Materials Part 4

This tutorial will demonstrate how to assign materials to 3d objects in Maya and you will change the attributes of a material in Maya. After this tutorial you will be able to use Maya’s Hypershade, assign material and change their attributes. Although this is 4th part of whole series therefore we shall choose and assign proper materials to our object. First of all select the cockpit and choose window and next Hypershade. Here you can see create bar panel on the left side of the Hypershade window. If you haven’t this panel in your window, then click on checker button on the most left top button. Rename the selected material for cockpit as CockpitPhong. To assign this materials to selected object, just drag it with MMB and leave it there. We can also assign material to the selected object by right clicking on that material and you can pick it to do that.

Now if you want to color this material, double click on the material and swatch will be opened to offer you choose color and other amendment. You can also change its attributes to make Cockpit model pretty much better. Create plane for ground and then assign materials as Lambert because it is ground and should not be shiny. You can also choose material for ground with online downloading images having in your drives. So in this part you have learnt about assign material for different parts of 3D Rocket.
