Pumpkin in Maya

pumpkin in mayaThis tutorial deals with Maya NURBs modeling. We are working in Autodesk Maya 2008. In this tutorial we are going to create Pumpkin in Maya with NURBs modeling. As you know that NURBs modeling refers to CV curve setting therefore we also use same technique of CV curve setting. Go to create menu and choose CV curve. Convert orthographic viewport into front viewport and maximize it. Create rough drawing of Pumpkin in Maya and adjust its vertices setting. Go to main menu setting and change it with surface. Now choose surface menu and drop down list and pick revolve option. Hit delete for its history and make sections of Pumpkin from attribute drop down menu. Right click on this model and convert this pumpkin section into hull. Scale the object outer ward and it with make curve designing in your model.

Go to create panel and then CV curve again. This will help us in creating cartoony shape in pumpkin model just for enjoying. Manage some vertices setting which is called vertices manipulation. The vertices are reset just for the realistic image of our model. Go to editNURBs menu and apply trim tool to make it hollow.
