In this 3d modeling and animation lesson you will learn how to make lip syncing 3d animation of human in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya. here we have a 3d polygon head model which is next generation game design character and now you will learn how to make this model smile or how to make 3d animation of the lip syncing in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya. There are many ways of making 3d animation of this type you can create deformer and then make lips open and close and make 3d animation by setting key at several frames in 3 d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya, other method is using Blend shape and there are also other way like assigning keys etc.
Here in this 3d modeling and 3d animation lesson you will learn how to make 3d animation of the lip syncing using blend shape technique in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya.

Steps:
- Here we have 3d model of human model so, place extreme of –x axis and then press ‘ctrl + d’ to duplicate the head model then press ‘w’ for move tool and place at least four head duplicating each time side by side on same axis.
- Now select second head as first head model will show normal effect, selecting second head right click and go to vertex mode, select the lip vertex and make the lips (upper and lower) round by moving the vertices.
- Afterwards select the other head and then move the lips vertices in shape of smiling. Then last one which should be like blinking eyes so move the vertices of eye to close the eye like eyes are blinking.
- Now select the heads first of all four duplicated, then third and then second and afterwards shift select the first model.
- Change the menus set to Animation in the Deformer menus > Create Blend Shape.
- Now delete the duplicated copies and then move the original head to the centre, open the blend Editor from Animation editor in the Window of the main menus.
- And you can edit the blend there.
