How to create simple window with Maya

This is 3d modeling video tutorial lesson for the beginners of the 3 d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya in this 3d modeling lesson you will learn how to model a simple window in 3d modeling an animation software Autodesk Maya using the polygonal 3 d modeling tool and commands. Polygonal 3d modeling is one of the most famous 3d modeling ways in the 3d computer graphics software of all types. Instead it is the very first way of 3d modeling in 3d computer graphic later one NURBS, Subdivision, Deformer etc were added in computer graphics so the sake of much more advance type of 3d modeling and complex character setup in 3d computer graphics software application but polygonal 3d modeling is still one of the most liked, simple and easy way of 3d modeling and unique of its kind and cause.

In polygon 3d modeling we divided surface into polygonal faces and as you should that in polygon geometric faces there are two types of the elements, vertices and the edge; vertices are the corner or angles and edges the point which combine the two vertices and make a close polygon shape.
Now in 3d modeling what a 3d modeler has to do is to edit, modify the faces, edges and vertices of the polygon into 3 dimensions and create a 3d model out of it. Let’s learn how to model a window in 3d modeling and animation software Autodesk Maya.

Hands-on excersis of creating simple window:

  1. Go to the create menus and in the polygon primitives click on the cube, now press ‘5’ for shaded mode of the object.
  2. Open the channel box by pressing the ‘ctrl + A’ and then put 90 value in the rotate x box. Now press ‘r’ for scale tool and scale the cube to the size of the window.
  3. Go to Edit mesh menu and get Extrude tool to push and pull faces of the window.
  4. Then model the widow as told in this 3d modeling lesson.
  5. Watch this lesson and learn the 3d modeling in details.
