2Dimensional Coordinates

It is the first lesson of the graphics about the 2D coordinates. Actually the 2D plane is the plane with some breadth t and length but it does not have height. For example a surface of paper or the blackboard is 2D surface. Now these two dimensional surfaces have two direction in the graphical representation the two directions or the dimension are referred as the coordinates called as XY coordinate. And form a system called as the XY coordinate system in terms of Maya they are also called as UV coordinates. There is an x-axis showing horizontal direction and y-axis showing the vertical direction. They both are perpendicular to each other and the point of their intersection is called as origin represented by ‘o’. The two axes extend in both directions positive and negative. You can learn much more about the 2D plane/coordinates here on this website.
