Learning 3d Modeling and Character Setup in Maya 2011 Part 7

Maya 2011 is version of Maya with many improvements of 3d modeling, rendering and 3d animation commands, its user interface is easy to use and control your workflow. This series of 3d modeling lessons in Urdu/Hindi is about how to model a human face cartoon in 3d modeling animations program Maya.

Here on this website of 3d learning you can learn all about 3d modeling, 3d animation and rendering and our 3d computer graphics training is totally free and more comprehensive than any one else. In this lesson you will learn complete skill of the setting up a 3d character in Maya 2011.

You should move the vertices and edges to align them in the shape of spider web shape whenever you create an edge loop or modify or edit topology of the 3d character. For 3d modeling you have to keep very patience and be careful and take full interest in your 3d modeling work.

Keep you mesh clean and try to keep size of the faces of the topology equal and keep spaces among edges wide in your work area of the mesh so that you can add more necessary edge loops or split the polygon faces for more polygons for detailed 3d modeling.

For using edge loop tool go to edit mesh and select the Insert loop tool and for adding face and edges at certain place use split polygon tool which is also present in Edit mesh menu. In fact almost all the editing tools of the mesh for 3d polygon modeling are present in Edit mesh menu.

When you have align edges from one side then watch them from other view so that your model is going in right direction and keep matching your model with the reference images.
