Autodesk Maya: Sackboy Modeling Tutorial part 1

In this tutorial of Maya 2012, you will learn about sackboy modeling tutorial. The sackboy model is just an imaginary model made up with basic tools using poly modeling. It is advantage of Autodesk Maya tools, that you can use alternate tools instead of original in case of wrong way. This method of modeling will introduce you with new way of modeling. There are reference image of this model and it is split into four different sides, so that you could work easily. Go to file and open reference image sketch and work for front view. Create a map and rough drawing of front view. Here you can use object manipulation tools to modify the image and alternate method for object modification is changing its attributes.
picIn this way, you have to work on all sides one by one, it is very tricky work but be patient in work. Go to front view again and create basic drawing using move tool. The move tool will help you to cover the desired area. The polygonal primitive will be the best choice for modeling of this sackboy.
