Type material of the mesh which can be used for screen-printing does not affect much but the meshes of same or different material having different porosity usually affect remarkably in creating stencil on screen and designs on the screen-printing articles like screen printing tee shirt, screen printed cards, kitchenware and other plastic and metallic industrial articles being screen printed.

Color of mesh: Color of mesh also affects the stenciling process as white color reflects all the light falling on white surfaces so it recommended for low definition designs only.
The color like yellow absorbs the light which is mostly yellowish so a sharp stencil is achieved. Therefore for the high definition design mesh with yellow color is most recommended one or any other with color having more light absorbing properties.
The number of holes or pores per square inch or cm of the mesh also determines the sharpness and definition of the design being stenciled on the screen.
A definition stencil requires a mesh with greater porosity whereas a bold or broad stencil requires a mesh with less porosity.
