Keyframe and Graph Editor (5)

This Free Video Tutorial will explain how to control animations with Graph Editor in Maya.

Maya provides us a great facility to enhance and control our animation with Graph editor. Graph Editor shows animation curves in different colors. When we animate an object, actually we keyframe its attributes in Maya. Keyframing means setting up keys on specific frames, and attribute of object means the different characteristics of an object such as its 3 dimensional coordinates of movement, scale and rotation, as well as its visibility, its color, or its component level’s attributes and much more. We assign a key on some specific frame for object’s attributes and in this way we actually capture a snapshot of our object’s current position at specific frame.
Graph Editor shows the curve for each attribute’s animation, which maybe translation, scale rotation or something else. Graph Editor in Maya is powerful feature which allows us to break or add keys at specific frames with specific values. We can control and enhance the animation with Graph Editor.
