Maya 2011 Architectural Modeling Part 12

Maya 2011 is has the best 3d modeling and 3d animation features, in this video you will learn about how to create lighting for 3d model. This very basic lesson if you want to be a cinematographer in the World of Maya 2011. there are many type of lighting effects, ‘Ambient’ light is about how to light up like sun and moon, ‘Directional’ light is about giving light in a specific direction, ‘Point Light’ is like light of bulb, ‘Spot Light’ is like torch or study lamp lighting, ‘Area light’ is light about lighting a certain area and ‘Volume light’ covers a specific object. For this type of 3d rendering we need ambient and directional lights both.

Select the directional light for your 3d model from the ‘create’ menu. Rotate and move it to right place then make setting for the intensity, refractive index etc. according to your choice in attribute editor,

For more good results add Ambient light also place it near the last directional light.

Make render setting select ‘production quality’ rendering as the best recommended.

Render you model and view the results.
