According to cycle theory a Talaq begins with the first utterance of the word Talaq from husband in presence of his wife. If they don’t have a chance of reconciliation or they don’t want to do so then first Talaq completes with completion of first menstrual cycle of the wife.
There is a long list of contemporary Muslim Scholars such as, Allama Inayatullah Al-Mashriqi, Ghulam Ahmad Parvez and many more, who regret the orthodox, non Islamic divorce system which was made in far past but very latter, after the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Muslims believe that divorces can cause deep touching scars in the couple, and also diminish the option that any children will have a best look after. It also puts pressure for couples’ family and hence deteriorates the fabric of civilization. In the Sunni tradition, it is said that “divorce without a suitable cause shakes the throne of God”.
