Understanding fractional numbers in Maths

We can divide the digit 1 into infinite number of pieces.

Each one stands as single 1 and again will be able to be divided more. This division of single number into many pieces called fractional numbers. for example,

1 can be divided into two pieces 0.5 + 0.5 either ½ + ½ , now each piece is again a single number. Both pieces are two, but if we cut one of them it’ll be like one and will be cut again into two more pieces, see the image below, Understanding fractional numbers in Maths
