It is two months since Aslam (last) smoked a cigarette or He last smoked a cigarette two months ago. OR He hasn’t smoked a cigarette for two months.
(c) It is two years since he has left the country.
اُسے ملک چھوڑے ہوئے دوسال ہوگئے ہیں۔اس کو یوں بھی کہہ سکتے ہیں کہ
He left the country two years ago.

(16) We can use the present perfect with ‘already’ to tell that something happened sooner than expected and with ‘yet’ to say when we are expecting something to happened.
ہم present perfectکو لفظ “Already”کے ساتھ(بھی)استعمال کرسکتے ہیں یہ بتانے کیلئے کہ کوئی کام توقع سے پہلے ہوگیا ہے اور لفظ”yet”کے ساتھ(بھی)استعمال کرسکتے ہیں۔یہ کہنے کیلئے کہ کام کے ہونے کی کب توقع ہے۔”Already”کوverb کی تیسری حالت سے پہلے استعمال کریں گے اور ‘yet’ کو سوالیہ یا منفی جملے کے آخر میں لگائیں گے۔
EXAMPLES:
- Don’t forget to post the letter, will you? I have already posted it.
خط ڈاک خانے میں ڈالنا بھولیں گے تو نہیں نا؟ میں نے تو پہلے ہی پوسٹ کردیاہے۔
- When is Hanif going to start his new job? He has already stated.
حنیف نئ ملازمت (کام)کب شروع کریں گے؟وہ تو پہلے ہی شروع کرچکا ہے۔

کیا آپ کا کورس(اب)شروع ہوا ہے۔
(d) It is eleven o’clock and you haven’t finished breakfast yet.
گیارہ بج گئے ہیں اور تم نے ابھی تک ناشتہ نہیں کیا۔

(17) We use the present perfect with today and phrases with this, e.g. this morning, This week this year.
